Part of my free time, i utilise to make "Marker Stand" which being used to place PaintBaller's "Paintball Gun" while they're resting in between of either training or games.
By the way, actually "PaintBall Gun" is better known as "Marker" amongst the PaintBaller's community, not only locally but worldwide... We are more comfortable addressing it as a "Marker" rather than a "PaintBall Gun", understanding very well that we are in the sports of which "Elimination By Marking" as one of the objectives rather than "Killing". By having a this "Marker Stand", PaintBaller's would be able to place their Marker in a standing position instead of leaving it lying on the table or ground. This would definately prevent any unwanted impurity things such as sand or water from penetriating into the sensitive electronic parts of the Marker whenever it were left on the ground. It would also definately avoiding unnecessaries scratches when everybody start to place their Marker on top of each others on a such a small table. Other than that, it also save plenty of spaces when you place it on the table as all PaintBallers are aware that the table provided by most of the Field's Owners or Tournament's Organisers are quite small and limited.
Coming back to the "Marker Stand" story, in the first place when i've started to built it for first time actually was for my own use but later when i took it to the field, my PaintBaller's friends and peoples around started asking me about it. And some of them immediately started to place order and later i realised that i've started to producing it commercially...
From thereon, i've started to purchased proper and special tools instead of the conventional tools that i've used when i've first started. It's easy to built it out of the PVC pipes which conveniently available at the hardware shop but without the proper equipment and planning, it would not end up like what you imagined... =) I'm very particular about the quality of finishing in term of tidiness. I always assure that all my "Marker Stand" that being sold meet some requirements or mine, such as the "foldable joint" is made not too tight or not too loose for some stability reasons. The cut edges is filed to made it contour and later follow up finishing it with a fine sand-paper for a really smooth finished product...
Last but not least, the final touch of a Carbon-Fibre sticker made it look stunning... And the price, i'm selling it only at RM25.00 per unit...
